Bowling Benefits

With over 100 years of Crown Green Bowling Woodlands is a gem in inner city leafy Birmingham. We have a recently rebuilt clubhouse with support from Sport England, Sita Trust and Dr Tim Watts DL.

There are many benefits to getting out on the green

1. Bowling is an excellent form of exercise. It involves walking, bending, and stretching, which helps to improve overall fitness and flexibility. Its an ideal activity for people who may have joint or health issues.

2. Bowling is a social sport. It provides an opportunity to meet new people and make friends while enjoying a common interest with a sense of community and camaraderie among players.

3. Its a great way to improve mental health. It requires concentration and focus. The tranquil and peaceful setting of a bowling green can also promote relaxation and mindfulness.

4. Bowling is inclusive and can be played at any age. Its an opportunity to remain active and engaged in physical activity, and for young people to learn new skills and develop coordination.

5. Crown green bowling can be a competitive sport, from local club to national and international events. Competitive bowling is an opportunity to test skills and to strive for personal improvement.

These benefits make it an enjoyable and worthwhile activity for anyone looking to be active and engaged in a fun and fulfilling way.
